| Understudies |
| Students will be evaluated at the ADA Summer Intensive for placement in team dances. Understudies will
be chosen at Dance Camp. Understands may be placed in one or more dances before competition based on
their performance and improvement between Sept-Dec. Understudies are required to attend the same
classes, rehearsals, performances, and must follow the same attendance policy. |
| |

| We place students as an understudy for different reasons. Most often the teacher would like more time to
evaluate the students abilities and help them improve before placing them in a team dance. Understudies are
required to purchase costumes since they will be performing in the competition dances at recital. |

| Dance Camp/Summer Intensive |
| The students will be evaluated for placement in team dances during the ADA Summer Intensive. This is an
intensive dance program with 3-8 hrs of dancing a day for 5 days and is mandatory for team members. This
prepares the students for Dance Camp when they will learn the choreography they will perform all year. The
team choreography is more challenging and difficult then the average recital dance, which is why the
summer intensive is a great preparation for Dance Camp. Dance Camp is mandatory for all competition
team members. Please be aware of the summer intensive and dance camp dates before auditioning to assure
you will be able to attend. Additional fees apply. |
