Tina Singer
(Co-Owner/Artistic Director)- Ms. Singer has been involved in dance for over 35 years. She has studied both Cecchetti and Vaganova styles of ballet, Broadway and rhythm tap, Broadway, Luigi and competitive jazz, and Graham & Horton modern. Ms. Singer studied with Deborah Parou and performed with the Parou Ballet Company in New Castle, Pennsylvania for 13 years and was a member of the Parou Ballet Company. She trained with well-known ballet artists such as Mansur Kamaletdinov, Patricia Sorrell, Robert Steele, Richard Cook and Cheri Noble. She has had the opportunity to work personally with Marina Eglevsky, Laurie Johnson, Mark Orsborn and Derrick Schrader in recent years. Her ballet repertoire consists of performing in the Nutcracker, Coppelia and Cinderella. Her competitive experience consists of competing with Dance Masters of America placing 1st overall. Since 1993, Ms. Singer has been teaching dance and staged many performances including the Nutcracker, Into the Woods, Cinderella, Swan Lake and A Storybook Christmas. Ms. Singer has held many positions since she began teaching including Company Director at Rowlett Dance Academy, Competition Director at Stage Door Dance and Ballet Mistress at Dance Dimensions. Ms. Singer has taught Master Classes in Virginia, Texas, California and Pennsylvania. She started competition team programs in Texas and Virginia which placed top 10 during their first year of competition. Several of Ms. Singer's students have won Regional and National titles in tap, jazz, musical theatre and lyrical both in Virginia and Texas. Her students have received platinum, high platinum, diamond and Top 10. Ms. Singer’s students have attended summer intensives at The Rock, Joffrey Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, North Carolina School of the Arts, Kirov Ballet and Allegheny Ballet Company. Several of Ms Singer’s students have been recognized and have received scholarships when attending workshops and competitions. Ms. Singer has choreographed benefit shows to raise money for Operation Smile, Make A Wish Foundation and Child Abuse Awareness Foundations. She has choreographed for the Miss. Hampton/Newport News pageant, and the Miss. Virginia pageant. She is diligent in continuing her dance education by attending workshops and seminars throughout the year to further her education as well as her students’ education.

Corey Holmes - (assistant artistic director) a native of South Florida has been teaching dance since 2000. A student of classical ballet and jazz, she received her training at Dance Dimensions in Ft. Lauderdale and with the Ft. Lauderdale Ballet Theatre, under the didactic mentorship of Katy Rood Audette and Angela Mauti. Corey received her Bachelor of Arts in Acting and Directing at Florida Atlantic University, where most of her experience was in musical theatre, including Cabaret and South Pacific. Corey then earned her Masters of Letters and a Masters of Fine Arts in Shakespearian and Renaissance Literature and Performance with a focus in Acting from Mary Baldwin College in conjunction with The American Shakespeare Center. Corey has taught theatre and movement at St. Anne’s Belfield School in Charlottesville, Va. While in grad school, she choreographed many productions, including A Midsummer’s Nights Dream, The Winter’s Tale, and Cymbeline. She choreographed The Music Man for Stuart Hall. Corey directed The Taming of the Shrew for The American Shakespeare Center’s Young Company Theatre Camp as well as instructed dance for the camps. The summer of 2009, she choreographed a "flash dance mob". Corey is excited to begin her second year at ADA! She loves working with both the competition team and the recreational students and is thrilled for the 2009-2010 dance year!

Andrea Cordray
- from Michigan where she studied ballet, tap, jazz, acro, lyrical and modern from age six under Joanne Zavisa at Joanne's Dance Extension. It was at Joanne's that she began assisting and eventually taught. She trained in Cecchetti method ballet and pointe under Dawn Greene and the Plymouth Canton Ballet Company, where she performed in the Nutcracker, Coppelia and Peter and the Wolf. She credits much of her technical dance training to Larraine Susa and Tom Ralabate. She had the opportunity to perform in the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta and twice in Disneyland for Annie McQuitty Productions. Since 2000, she has been a member of Dance Masters of America and held the title of Great Lakes Regional Miss Dance 2002. Through Dance Masters, she attended their teacher's training school program in Buffalo, NY. Andrea received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Grand Valley State University in 2001, where she also studied and performed ballet and modern under Jefferson Baum. While at Grand Valley, she taught dance at Academy of Performing Arts and remained busy as a member and captain of the co-ed cheer team for four years. Regionally, she has performed at Mill Mountain Theatre in Roanoke, VA in the production of Annie Get Your Gun. She currently is working towards her Master's Degree in Arts Management at George Mason University and is a member of Dance Matrix in Fredericksburg. She obtained her mat certification in Pilates from Power Pilates and is excited to teach Pilates and acrobatics in the fall. Andrea is grateful for the personal rewards that teaching gives and is looking forward to sharing her passion for dance with all students at Amyclae Dance Academy!

Allison Esposito - Ms. Esposito, originally from Maryland, has been involved in dance since the age of four. She has studied tap, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop and the Cecchetti style of Ballet. Allison studied at Candy Hill Dance Studio in Upper Marlboro, MD and Power Explosion Studio of Dance in Charlotte Hall, MD. During her training, she participated in regional and national dance competitions in Maryland, Virginia, New York, South Carolina and Florida. In 2008, Allison received a B.A. in sociology at the University of Mary Washington, where she was a member of the UMW Performing Arts Club and the UMW Dance Team for four years. She also served as the Performing Arts Club Vice President from 2006-2008, and the UMW Dance Team Captain from 2007-2008. As a member of these groups, she had the opportunity to choreograph and perform in numerous dance shows and events. During her time at UMW, she also participated in several competitions and NDA collegiate dance camp. Allison has been teaching dance for several years and continues to teach at the Fredericksburg Ballet Centre. She is very excited to be a part of the Amyclae Dance Academy! |
